Hey everyone! So yes, yes, I know it has been a while. All I can say is that life got in the way. Up until 3 weeks ago, I had been working at a Nissan dealership (my day job). I actually liked my job. I was in charge of scheduling the appointments for the service department. I was there for 2 years. Or would have been. Rewind a few months to the first week of January.
So, my GM pulls me aside and tells me that they are dissolving the position I had. It's one, I will add, was created and I was the first one to have it. Anyway. He proceeds to tell me I'm being moved to the sales floor.
One: I made it very very clear from the beginning of being hired that I DID NOT WANT TO GO TO SALES! EVER!
Two: I was given NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER
Three: about two or three weeks after being moved to sales what happens? Some chick is HIRED and BASICALLY DOING THE JOB I WAS HIRED FOR. Only difference were slight marketing type stuff and now handling warranty calls.
Anyone else seeing the problem yet? To top it off, this chick had no idea how to do ANY OF IT! Okay, so I didn't know how to do the warranty and marketing stuff but couldn't they have offered to train me? I mean I knew everything else and I doubted it would take long to catch up on the rest.
Now, I tried to just move past this, but the whole situation just stuck in my craw. Not to mention they (managers) kept insisting that we call, and call, and call, people. WTF? You call over and over and over you're just ASKING for drama. Finally 3 weeks ago, I just didn't go in for my Saturday shift and on Monday, went in early, got my personal stuff and left.
LOL I know not the classiest way to quit but it is what it is.
Okay, enough of the rant. I do have some good news. Book 3 of Blackout Security Inc is now complete and with Karen my editor. I have the cover and can't wait to reveal them. I have also been working on a WIP.
I'm kind of excited about this one. It's something new for me. It's a menage. I've read several over the years and my favorite by far is Colter's Woman by Maya Banks, although hers is 1 woman and 3 brothers. Mine is just 1 woman and her 2 bosses.
I think it's coming along nicely and have had a few days in a row of good writing time. We'll just see how it plays out. I hope soon I will be starting round one edits on The Flame of Carson. Once I do I will absolutely figure out the release date and reveal the cover. So keep an eye on the blog, my social media pages and if you haven't signed up for my newsletter....DO IT!
Well, thanks for listening to the earlier rant and I look forward to sharing more on the upcoming release and the WIP! Until next time!
